Trip Itinerary
We pack a lot into a very short amount of time, but it will be a trip to remember. Below is the planned itinerary for the trip.

Friday

The start of the camp is at Portsmouth where all the group meets up at the port.

When onboard the ferry Scouts and Explorers have a short amount of time to get settled into their cabins ready for the early morning alarm.

SATURDAY

It's a bit of an early start on Saturday as we need to get up, put on our cycling gear and then head for some breakfast on board.

After the ferry has docked we make a very short walk around to the meeting place to get the bike from the Camp Crew. You will also collect your lunch before heading off for the day. Most teams will focus on the eastern end of the D-Day landing areas or head south.

SUNDAY

This is your opportunity to have a more leisurely start to your day. Breakfast will be around 8 am, and most groups will be heading off for a full days cycle around 9:30 am.

The highlight for most teams on Sunday is the trip to Arromanches to visit the artificial harbour that the Allies build shortly after D-Day. Oh and also the opportunity to grab some chips or cheeky ice cream.

MONDAY

There is some work on Monday morning as the camp needs to be packed away. For most, this will mean striking tents and ensuring all kit is in the van. Cycling teams will get on their trusty steeds again and go to the ferry port. Bikes are then put on the trailers, and we catch the ferry.

We arrive back in Portsmouth around 9:30 pm, with the kit collected from 3rd Alton.
